How do invisible aligners work?

Invisible aligners work by adjusting your dental arch to create the correct amount of space needed for all your teeth to align properly with each other, creating your individually straightest smile. With crowded teeth, for instance, the arch would need to be widened, while other cases with gaps require the arch to be narrowed slightly. Each new set of aligners adjusts the teeth by up to 0.2mm, so that over the treatment duration, your teeth are moved into their correct position.

How long should I wear each aligner for?

The recommended wear time for the aligners is 22h a day, meaning most of the day and night, only taking them out to eat and brush your teeth.

Yes, at-home clear aligners are designed for adults with mild to moderate alignment issues such as crowding, gaps or protruding front teeth. Your suitability is confirmed by a dentist during your free e-consultation before you pay anything, and more complex cases are honestly referred to a local clinic.

Do you have to see a dentist first?

The process is done remotely, so you don't need to physically visit a dentist during your treatment. You are recommended to have seen your regular dentist for a dental checkup in the last 6/12 months to confirm that you're dentally healthy and will also have the option to share your most recent dental records (x-rays and gum scores) with your assigned orthodontist so that these can be taken into account when creating your treatment plan.

How long does treatment take?

Most people complete treatment in around 5 to 9 months, though your exact timeline depends on your teeth and is confirmed in your personalised plan.

Where can I ask my questions?

You can do that through your account's "Message" tab where all your conversations and information are saved, as well as photos and records.
